Scheduling Backups & Data Residency

M365Suite features an automated scheduler that runs background backup tasks based on your organization's policies.

Configuring the Backup Schedule

1. Go to Settings > Backup Configuration.
2. Under Scheduled Backups, choose your interval:
   • Disabled: Backups will only run when manually triggered.
   • Daily: Runs automatically every day at 12:00 AM UTC.
   • Weekly: Runs automatically every Sunday at 12:00 AM UTC.
   • Every 2 weeks: Runs biweekly.
3. Click Save.

Data Residency & Storage Locations

We split backup vaults to ensure compliance with local privacy directives (like GDPR):

• US Region: Deployed to encrypted GRS blob storage in East US 2 (stm365bkpus).
• EU Region: Deployed to encrypted GRS blob storage in North Europe (stm365bkpeu).

To change your storage target, go to Settings > Data Residency and click on your preferred region. Future backups will automatically be routed there.
